Pizza Making with the kiddos

The boys helped me make pizza last Friday night.
With the Shirley J mixes it was actually quite easy!
It only took us 40 minute prep, and 15 minutes cook time.

You will need:
-Honey White bread mix from Shirley J
-Pizza and Pasta mix from Shirley J
- 6 oz. can Tomato Paste
-Shredded Mozz Cheese
-toppings for your pizza

Here is how you make the Pizza:

1st: Make the Pizza Crust
-1 1/4 cups of warm water
-1 Tbsp Instant dry Yeast
-3 cups of Shirley J Bread mix (you can use the wheat or white mix)

Let the warm water and yeast sit together in a electric mixing bowl. mix the 3 cups of bread mix into the yeast mixture. In the mixer put on a dough hook and knead the dough for 10-15 minutes.

2nd : Divide the dough into two and place on greased counter top.
DO NOT USE FLOUR OR MIX
USE PAM SPRAY
Let sit for about 5 minutes

Roll out the dough into two round pieces and place on greased pizza pan.

3rd : Mix Pizza Sauce:
-Two Tbsp Shirley J Pizza and Pasta Mix
-1 6oz can of tomato paste
-fill that 6 oz can with water

Spread sauce on Pizza.

If making pizza with little hands,
make sure they get a good hand washing before helping with the toppings :-)

This is the fun part!
I usually put 2 cups of Mozz cheese on each pizza.
Then the toppings.

Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes!

You can purchase the The white or wheat dough mix and pizza sauce from Shirley J.
One bag of the bread mix costs $14.95 and would make 8 large sized pizzas.
For a one pound Pizza Pasta Sauce mix the cost is $7.75
